Only in California. Three wild bears decided to come out of the wilderness and take a swim in Lake Tahoe. The Lake Tahoe basin, in northern California is in the middle of the Sierra Nevada range and is surrounded by beautiful forests and granite rock formations. It is also full of wildlife, including bears. This beach, is a popular destination for visitors to South Lake Tahoe and local residents.
These bears really don’t care that humans are around. A mother bear and her two cubs were enjoying a refreshing swim in one of the cleanest and deepest lakes in North America. Onlookers kept a respectable distance but went about their activities. No panic, no drama. Just some bears minding their own business and everyone enjoying their time at the lake.
I love California. Everything is possible.
A local TV station captured the video:
how wonderful - good to see no mass panic and shooting them!!

Wow... Pope Beach is next to the camp ground we stay at every summer... Those damn bears are probably the same ones that rip into our ice chest every time I forget to put it away at night... Never seen them come out during the day time... That is funny!!!
