Choose Your Niche

Have you decided on a niche that you love and are passionate about or is it that you don’t have a clue?
If you are still trying to decide, first think about your vision for your niche, and pair that with your standards, your personal integrity, and your unique style.

Explore as many avenues as possible until you know what you want to do. Can you see yourself working in this field say, 5-10 years from now and will you be happy? Is this what you want to do long term, short term or will it be just a hobby?

Will your niche choice be something you are experienced at doing or something you are starting for the first time?

Remember also that your niche should feel like a good fit. It should not be a continual struggle or tug of war, it should flow with your lifestyle. The following are a few questions for those of you that are still not clear on what your niche is.

What time of day do you work best? Can you work on your niche successfully at this time?
Will your niche also be your brand?
Who is your audience or your target market?
Will your niche satisfy a need that people may have and/or will it add value to the lives of others?
Will your niche provide a product or service or both?
Will your niche have a long term, short term or optional turn around for your audience customers or clients?
For example :
If you are a seller of bread you can look forward to weekly sales.
If you are a seller of framed art work your clientele may only buy once or twice a year.
If you are an author. writing stand alone novels sales may vary based on the reader's preference, however, if the book was a trilogy and it gained a fan following. the next volume would be eagerly anticipated, increasing the chances for more continual sales.

As you visualize, brainstorm and fine tune your niche, the above questions can be used to help you create a basis for your niche.

You should have a passion for the niche you choose, which is important because it gives you the drive to push through and keep going through good and bad days.
