Peach thieves

The peach tree is heavy with fruit and I reminded the kiddo's mama to harvest before the fruit get too ripe and fall wasted to the ground.

The following day, she complained that a lot of the peaches on the tree have been stolen! We are in agreement that nobody would steal the peaches although anyone could just walk up to the house.

I reckoned the thieves are squirrels but the kiddo's mama concluded that it must be a horde of raccoons. She said there is no presence whatsoever of fallen fruit or partially eaten fruit on the ground. That's what the little squirrels would do; leaving a trail of destruction when there is too much food around.
