Karma and past lives, do they exist?steemCreated with Sketch.

In Sanskrit, karma means action. In both Hinduism and Buddhism, people think that they remember what they did and how other people treated them in past lives. The idea of rebirth and life after death is used here.

The immaterial spirit would go back and forth between the subtle and earthly realms, and in each form, it would try to clear its karma by doing new good things. The things we did in this life would be our next karma.

Many people around the world have believed in reincarnation since ancient times, including a quarter of Americans. However, Western science and church are still against it.

Most scientists still believe that real-life events and reports of them are either dreams or memory problems. In an ideal world, genetic memory (direct line ancestors) would be able to describe these events.

Some people who don't have any preconceived ideas follow the theory of reincarnation. Professor Ian Stevenson, a pioneering psychotherapist, became interested in memory problems (like babies telling disturbing stories), behaviour problems (like phobias and Mozart skills), and physical problems in the early 1960s.

He looked into very young children who said they remembered a past life in great detail that could be checked, ruling out the possibility of fraud and showing that the memories were not linked to genetic memory.

He gave his work to Dr. Tucker at the University of Virginia. Officially, the idea of resurrection cannot be proven or disproved by current scientific study models.

However, these strange events have been studied for years by genealogists, historians, mental psychologists, and physiognomists all over the world. Paul Von Ward, a psychologist from the US, has been studying reincarnation and the "soul genome" since 2005. His research is based on people's physical, intellectual, artistic, emotional, and behavioural features.

Can you get to your past lives, unless it happens by itself? This is what regressional hypnosis does. When someone was in a trance, they could remember and feel past lives. As part of their "soul readings," some psychics sent their clients flashes from past lives.

The goal is to get rid of trauma-related obstacles. The meetings would be helpful if we knew why we're afraid of water because we would have drowned and why we have money problems because we wouldn't have been able to break our promise to be poor before we died.

Going on a "karmic tourism" trip is not as appealing.
