Morning Walk – Clifton Beach

in life •  6 years ago

While I’m telling the story, I’m just going to add some pictures of that day between the paragraphs to show you a bit around the area.

Little back story first, my husband and I started doing regular morning walks about 3 weeks ago, and we basically wake up very early in the morning to get to the beach by 5 am so that we can take a long and relaxed walk along the beach and enjoying the sunrise.

We park our car at the end or beginning of the sidewalk so that we can walk the full length of the sidewalk along the beach, starting at the beginning or the end and coming back to the car. This will take us approximately 30-45 min of walking and 15 min of enjoying the sunrise. So, being away for an hour I would say.

Fantastic start to start of your day – trust me!

So, we are not always going to the same beach, depends on how we are feeling and some of them are longer walks than others which just depends on how much energy we have. Since my husband and I work from home and I go to school every Thursday and Friday, we’re not really moving that much or leaving the house…as we used to do.

That’s why we decided to go for a walk every morning which keeps us fit, and we move much more!

Now, that we both lost 10kg, we wanted to build up some muscles. Trust me I tried going to the gym, but I failed…walking along the beach is much better!

I personally can already feel a bit of a difference, the upper part of my legs aren’t as soft and wobbly anymore they are starting to get a bit firmer and my butt as well ha-ha.

A few days ago, we went to Clifton Beach because it’s a nice quiet area where not many people are doing their morning walks – perfect! It also has a nice sidewalk and the region, in general, is beautiful!

It was just the perfect day, birds were active the sunrise was gorgeous, and we felt so good! We had already walked one way, and then we decided to sit down and enjoy the sunrise where all of a sudden a man came up to us and told us that the huge snake was still there, my husband asked: A snake? Where?

And he asked if we hadn’t seen the snake, we said no we didn’t know about a snake. So he showed us where the snake was…while we were following him, I got a bit scared because I thought that the snake was on the ground and I wouldn’t see it…I mean it’s nothing new about seeing a snake in Australia, but it also plays a significant role in what type of snake it is…some of them are indeed poisoned...

And there it was… high up in the tree sleeping like a log! God bless that it’s up there! It lives there, it’s the home of the snake. Ok! I really respect any type of animal. First, we are vegetarian and second, I always respect them and try to go out of their way so that I’m staying calm and happy and they should feel the same way!

We’ve also seen some Kookaburras! Some of you might know that I love Kookaburras, their laughing sound in the morning and evening just makes me feel very happy and comfy – I don’t understand why. Plus, they look amazing, and the way of how they are looking for food etc is stunning!

A couple of days ago, I uploaded a video on my Dtube Channel of a Kookaburra that was so close to me and wasn’t really scared at all! I had to record it! I also took some pictures of the Kookaburra, and I know that I have tones of photos of Kookaburra’s, but they are never the same.

I love spending time with my husband at the beach because this is the only moment where we are feeling relax and do not think about what we need to do next which is the best time of the whole day. Once we are back home, we are back at work, thinking of what to do next, how to improve, doing research and so on… having a break from this just refreshes my mind, and this is where I get my energy from.

Every time we are walking along the beach, we notice that the sunrise is never the same! It always looks way different to the day before because of so many factors like clouds, colors, size of the sun, water (calm or ruff), etc. It’s just how nature works, it’s never the same, but it knows how to show off and being awesome.

Really magnificent!

@prefsilleoconch thank you :)

Wow, magnificent sunrises!!!😉 yes, walking is incredibly good for your health, and by adding in some extras it becomes even better, also for muscle building.
And I can imagine you were not totally at ease with the snakes :-)

@bjornb Thank you :) yes, exactly and that's what we want to achieve!
Well, my husband and I are joking a lot about snakes, like seeing them in every corner etc because Australia is known for their snakes ;) and this time, it was right above our heads! :p

Yeah, snakes and weird big insects :-) I've heard a lot about those too :-)
Are you Australian born?
