My brother dug this canoe out of the sand dune on the beach,in 1963 or 4, it must have washed up there in a storm and got covered up, it was made from white mahogany. Which does not grow here, that's me in the red.
This was the first store that my Dad built, he leased the land from the county in 1953, he started a campground on the south side of the inlet. The State took the land in the early 70's and it is now called Sebastian Inlet State Park. 
I spent the first 15 years of my life there.

I spent just about every day swimming, the salt water did not bother my eyes I never wore a mask.
This is the bar my Dad built, in the 60's, there was a band that played every Fri and Sat, night.
