Freedom of Expression

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Expression and a healthy communication is one very important aspect for a healthy life.

What stops one from not clearly expressing or communicating?

Is it the fear of rejection? You fear judgement or critics of others towards you, you would think how will the opposite person react if i express myself, and hence with that fear of judgement you hold yourself back. Sometimes its just sheer desire of pleasing the opposite person or to be what the opposite person wish and you would in turn hold your own self back.

Continous deprivement of expression and an open communication starts building up all the possible negative blocks at an emotional and physical level.

Over a period of time, it brings down your self-confidence and it is possible that you may also start getting bullied. You will find yourself getting drifted away, might feel aloof. You might become unpopular within your friends, people may find you boring and not enjoy your company.

You will have your own strengths to play but it will be difficult for the opposite person to see it.

Also when you keep suppressing your emotions and unable to express this brings in a lot of imbalance in the physical body. There's an extreme built up of in-ward energies and no way to let it out which would eventually lead to depression and anger and then one fine day suddenly you want to explode or you would see some other suicidal tendencies also since you get a feeling of being lost.

Most of the times relations get messed up because we are not able to openly communicate or express with our partners.

Since communication and expression are directly connected with the Throat chakra of our etheric body one may have problems of Thyroid or other Throat related diseases at physical level.

Release the fear within. At the most someone may just laugh at you or avoid you but nothing changes with that. Overcome the fears, take necessary help if required and be able to express or speak whatever you wish without the expectations of any type of results of being judged.

When you break these barriers you will find yourself free and in control of yourself.

Make your expressions and communication objectively by not bringing in too much emotions and keeping detached from the outcomes.
Life is beautiful, express every moment of what you feel. Have clear communication channels with people for good and strong relationships.

Hey Naina, nice article it is. I would like to give you some suggestions if you feel like accepting those, it would be great. You know a lot of stuff. But when you present it in an article you don't have to directly tell it to others. You have to give them a chance to think, and not just accept whatever you tell them. Instead of naming it "freedom of expression" you should name it something which grabs attention, is related to people's life, connect them, make them wonder and curious about what you wanna actually say. Also, talking about chakras in a para and finishing it there only was abrupt. Make a different post for that if you want to tell it to people. You told a lot in such a short article. what you can do is break it into many articles and think and write more to clear one thing, ask it in your article, then answer it.Raise questions and let people run their brains and analyse. Hope it helps. Keep it up. Good luck :)

Thanx my dear, that was a very good open feedback and for sure i take it as an advice :)

sometimes its that you know a person or a scenario so well that, you know expression or communication of any sort won't have any impact . I feel communication should effective. It is kind of similar to how you should convey something only one time, when you are managing a team, so that all of your communications are novel and has impact.

Yes there are times when you know its best not to communicate but that's a different scenario. I would called that more of an Effective communication which would be quite different to a suppressed communucation which we are talking of here :)

I very much resonate with this. I had issues expressing my true emotions for most of my young life, and have been learning more and more to open up and appreciate/understand my emotions, especially over the last 10 years.

It is so liberating and powerful to be so much more in touch with my own emotions, and also to feel free to express them and channel them for good.

Thanks for sharing :)

Thats great to hear that you have managed to come out of your shell. You feel free when you are able to express yourself 👍

Thanx dear Elena. For me life has been one hell of a roller coaster ride, no complaints but yes at the end of it what i get is lessons. When i was very young i used to hardly speak my heart out and lot of time i was musunderstood also. Thankfully i have crossed all these hurdles and come out victorious.

@steemit if there was Freedom of Eating, then I wouldn't want others to eat my plate without my permission. Its the same for every other freedom out there. Feelings should be considered while expressing anything. Because we express to communities, not to ourselves.
