Good morning Steemians

My daughter received an assignment as part of technology, to process, preserve and package a food item. She decided on making and storing jam. It was our first attempt at making jam and we decided on strawberry jam.

The ingredients needed for the jam was 3 cups of strawberries sliced, 1 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

So making jam is as easy as pie. You have to bring the sugar, strawberries and lemon juice to boil over medium heat in a saucepan and stir occasionally

Reduce the heat to medium and cook. Stir constantly.

Cook about 8-10 minutes until the mixture begins to look like syrup and thickens

Cool jam to room temperature , store in jar and refrigerate

What felt like like an enormous task ahead, actually turned out to be a great success, loads of fun and of cos I got to spend quality time with my princess.

Have a great further
