Give a person a sense of wort
Researcher Adel Lynn came to the conclusion that 55% of employees appreciate when they are given a sense of their importance. Interestingly, this does not require financial costs, these are rather small steps that need to be consistently done so that the employee feels important.
Make it clear to people that they are doing important work and are contributing to the development of the company.
Give feedback, not criticism
If your leadership style is to criticize your employees, then it's time to change this way of thinking. Remember that criticism works, but it has three significant drawbacks:
the effect of its application will be short-lived;
this will lead to infringement of self-esteem;
will reduce motivation and enthusiasm.
Think about whether you are able to motivate your team members in the most effective way. What exactly are you doing wrong? Do you choose the right time and place? Do you know how to find words that indicate to a person a mistake and will not infringe on his self-esteem?
Provide access
Your employees must see and understand what is happening in the company. Do so that at almost any moment they can turn to the senior management or the boss.
Real, sincere loyalty arises when your team senses that nothing is hidden from it and is interested in its opinion.
Give anonymously
Genuine generosity manifests itself at a time when you are doing a good deed and remain in the shadows. Think of at least a few people in your company who deserve help and quietly give them the opportunity to do their job more efficiently or feel better.
A generous person will not feel resentment, it is too small for her. Who do you need to forgive? What do you need to let go of?
This need is so deep that if you satisfy it, you will receive an immensely grateful person next to you.
