Interesting keywords. You just reminded me of something I heard a certain Alan Moore say about his definition of magic.
If memory serves, the way he defines magic lies in ones abilities to change someones perspective on things, enabling to see things that weren't there before.
For example, this well known picture where some see a duck, others a hare. According to him, magic happens when you show something the other animal, which then can't be unseen ever again.
Thinking about it, I think there is a certain truth to that.
