Lost my Partner in Mtunzini Umlalazi Nature Reserve!!!

I travelled to Mtunzini, South Africa a few days ago and thought I would share my awesome experience with you!
Even though I lost my Partner!!!

So something was wrong with me on this day, I felt exhausted and couldn't walk fast even though I tried to keep up with my partners speed walking I couldn't, bear in mind it is 8 Km's to the destination, the mouth where we wanted to go fishing. So I kept falling behind, and he's anxious to get to the place to fish and eventually he is just gone... I'm almost at the end of this 8 Km's trail, actually I am at the part where I think I am at the end but he is no where to be seen.

It was the most scariest thing I think I have ever experienced, I tried to see if I could find his footprints but they just disappeared at a spot and there was nowhere else he could have gone in my mind. This is when I start to panic and start to think I took the wrong trail or something happened to him and I am next!

So I RAN back and half way I start to wonder if I could of saved him if something did happen and I run back to where I saw his footprints last and tried to look for him, but nothing, even though I am yelling his name at the top of my lungs, nothing.

I went into survival mode right then and just realized I am exhausting myself even more, it's getting late I need to make it out of this jungle alive if theres any chance something happened to him I need to alert the authorities, so I ran back, exhausted and taking water breaks but I ran back asking every person I could find on my way back if they have seen him, and no-one has seen him, his footprints also only lead one way and that is the other direction.

Finally I get back to the parking spot and there are 2 authorities on their way to drive away. I walk to them and tell them my partner is missing. They ask if he could have gone to the beach, and I don't understand how because the trail ended before the beach but apparently it did not end, so there was hope that he just went further than I thought we could go and the authorities went to the beach to search for him as they were on their way to the beach anyway.

20 minutes later my partner finally walks out of the bush... into the parking lot where I was standing, What a relief!!
I wasn't even angry, I was just relieved that he was alright, and apparently the trail did go further and it did not end where I thought it ended. It just shows you that you just need to look around and you will have endless possibilities.
