IDOL WORSHIP

IS THE TODAY ZIMBABWEAN CHURCH IDOL WORSHIPING IN THE NAME OF GOD?

The dramatic shift of the operations of the Church today has got me wondering beyond what kind of worship are people now engaging in? The practices seem more like idol worship that is just being engaged in in a different way.

Not that people are actually creating idol statues to bow down and worship, giving their praise but those small things we have made to be part of the Church in some way, it is more like the Church has come to be a Idol worship centre.

The anointing oil, anointed wristband, the cross, anointed water, stone all these is what comprises of the Church today.

People are now putting faith on the Man of God instead of God himself.

People are trusting the anointed oil to grant them protection from the evil spirits instead of God himself.

People are trusting the anointed wristband to help boost their small business, to get them a good husband, to just make their lives prosperous.

Why not trust in God himself.

When one tends to trust a man made item to grant them their wishes, by just following instructions what more then with God, where is the faith going?

There church today is more focused on creating the perfect world where everyone is rich, happy and prosperous that it has created ways for people to believe, they cannot just preach and pray for people, but now giving so called 'anointed' items to make people believe. In some ways it is more like shifting the faith of people from God to rely on a object.

The mentality people now have is that they cannot remove that wristband, they follow instructions on how to use that anointing oil and one day o not using, it is like dying to them.

If faith means one puts their total trust on an object rather God himself, is simply means people are slowly drifting into Idol Worship without being aware.
