Hats off to Singapore Police

At around 9 pm, we took a cab from Suntek to Little India. Got off from the cab and went to a restaurant for dinner. After few minutes, my son noticed - Oh, I have dropped my mobile in the cab. Its battery is also discharged !

Immediately we rushed to the spot where the cab dropped us. But Singapore being a busy and fast place, it was impossible to locate the cab at same point after almost 15 minutes. We didn't had the cab number, nor had we taken bill from him.

As a precaution, decided to inform Police. We walked to nearest Police Station and met the officer at the gate itself. Narrated him the whole story.
He asked - Do you know what was the color of the cab ?
Blue - my younger son replied.

Officer started making some calls from the gate itself and asked us to come inside. He kept his one phone on call and made few more calls with another phone.

Within 6 minutes he said - We have found your mobile & driver is bringing it here. Would you mind paying the taxi fair from that point to this station ?

No complaint book, no paper work required & within 6 minutes he solved the case !
Hats off to Mr THAM BENG HWA , Station Inspector , Rochor Neighbourhood Police Station.
