The State of the @NoNamesLeftToUse Address: I Still Got It

Ten posts since my return. We're off to a good start...
but where the hell is everyone!

NoNamesLeftToUse - Breathe In.jpeg

Actually

Things haven't been so bad at all. Word is getting out again. The Writer/Artist Himself is back.

I'm having fun again. I can guarantee I've made you laugh at least once since my return. That's always good for business. Unless you're attempting to write something serious, but didn't notice where it should say pens, it actually says penis. That probably wouldn't be good for business.

Penis, Penis, Penis

Nope. Certainly wouldn't want one of those kind of typos popping up. It's not hard though, to fix these things, without someone busting your balls.

Anyway

Working hard, battling through. I was gone for five months, I knew I wouldn't be able to simply pick up where I left off once returning. After seeing so much success, taking a break, then coming back... that silence I'm met with shortly after posting can feel a bit eerie. I'm confident though, and I'm sure things will pick up again. I didn't become so popular by accident. I didn't burn any bridges before I left either. I had my own things in life to deal with and while wearing my best shoes, I took a step away.

Five months was too long. I'll be taking breaks again though. We'll call this, Season Two, and I guess I'm already on episode eleven.

Endless Vacation

Bloggers and vloggers seem to fear the break. So many produce content everyday, in fear of becoming irrelevant if they don't. Then they burn out, and become irrelevant. Was it worth it?

Maybe I'm here today to tell you that you're allowed to live your life.

Show me one person in media or the entertainment industry in general, who has not taken a break. Rest is a reality, it's perfectly fine anywhere else, enjoy your vacation.

I learned a few things though. Next time around, I'll make it a lot easier on you all.

Listen, I know I don't need to apologize, but I am sorry for vanishing like that. I won't make excuses for it and I'm almost happy things went the way they did because it gives me an opportunity to learn from my mistakes. I promise to handle it better next time and already have a plan in the works.

"Oh Cut the Crap NoNames!"

You just came back for the high SBD!
There's always going to be that little hater in the corner with nothing but negative shit to say.

I was coming back, regardless of the value in our tokens. I was here, blogging away, producing decent quality and showing consistent improvement even when one STEEM was worth a measly six cents.

I cancelled my powerdown. Decided to hold. The SBD I've earned so far since I've been back is now Steempower. The SBD I sent to Poloniex before I started blogging, I'll probably never see. Poloniex also owes me another 668 STEEM. Looking forward to seeing that in my wallet here someday. That was supposed to go to more Steempower, which in turn helps us all, so you should feel like you were robbed too. July. It was supposed to arrive in July.

Curating

Yes, I'm out there voting.

Nearing 17000 Steempower. It would be nice to have that up to 20k by 2018, but that goal could be out of reach.

I'll be voting manually, as per usual. I'm sorry that I can't get a vote on all four of the posts you published that day, and I'm sorry I can't get to your work every single day either. Don't be offended, I'm trying my best with the limited resources I have.

If I had the Steempower that some of those at the top had, the arts would be booming here. There's no way I'd be ignoring the arts, when I know it's a multi-billion dollar industry, and Steemit has the potential to take a huge chunk away from those greedy swine who make us pay far too much for their inferior and so-called "entertainment".

The arts are timeless. That joke you heard twenty years ago is still funny. That movie you watched the other day is still good. That article you read in a magazine is still interesting. Those books on your shelf, you keep for a reason.

I promised myself I wouldn't complain or whine, so I'll just be honest. That shit post about the state of a certain cryptocurrency is obsolete and useless to anyone tomorrow, nevermind in twenty years. Why people are wasting Steemit's potential on that sort of thing is far beyond my mental capacity. As if the internet needs more clutter. Seriously, are you getting your trading tips from forum posts that were published in 2010? Didn't think so.

If I stumbled upon one of those shit posts while casually browsing the internet, there'd be no reason for me to take an interest in Steemit. On the other hand, a few of my short stories and random, entertaining posts are out there, circulating, slowly. If you dig deep enough in my blog, you'll see some articles nearing 1000 views. This one from nearly one year ago has a little over 1000 views.

Good for me, right? Sure. Good for Steemit too though. Not only are these random, non-Steemit member type people from internet land enjoying my work, but each one of these posts of mine that has somehow started to circulate is a free advertisement for the platform. You're welcome!

I Better Shush Though

I prefer to be entertaining you folks with something creative.

Keeping you all informed about the state of my brain and where I stand on a few things currently is important though. You're investing in me with your votes. You deserve to know what's going on. This is how you run a business.

I'm back, I don't feel like being slack. I want to push hard and get this little blog of mine back up to it's full potential. I want to do my best to keep you folks entertained. I want to show off some art. I want to stand up for the arts, artists of all kinds, Steemit in general, you and anything else I feel is important.

Lazy ending time, too much ramble...

Have a great day!

I'm glad to have you back, and whenever someone penis such a well-written 'I'm glad to be black' post ass this one, it deserves a thoughtful and serious reply. So seriously, welcome back and thanks for the pictures!

This is not my first time using these penis. I have black penis somewhere. I use my penis with my right hand. I like those Bic penis. Sometimes I splurge though. I have a few gold penis too.

Well.. I do enjoy your posts! I have been posting about the crypto stuff lately, but just because it's fun and I'm thinking about it. I like to post about different things, and then when I post my music it's a change :). I think some of the simpler posts here and there also help me not get burned out--which did sort of happen to me, as well, before I faded out here the last few months before coming back. Don't hate me, friend!

haha - I was away at almost the exact same time frame. I'm glad to say I came back before the spike, of my own accord.. but only JUST before. :).

Just to clear that up. Crypto will be on all of our minds. It's something we all have in common. We can talk about it all we want, and we will. The difference between our posts about crypto and those 1000 that all look the same is... ours are different, more personal, and about our own experiences. 1000 screenshots of charts and ten million exclamation points is trash. We get flyers in the mail. We throw them out.

Simple posts. Nothing wrong with that. I've been thinking about simply sharing my art, without words. Doing posts like that. It's just really hard for me to keep my yap shut! I like to have fun, one thing always leads to the next, and that's how my blog came to be. No real planning, just going with the flow.

Awesome :). I tend to go with a lot of momentary inspiration as well. It's the best.

Have a good day! It's fun to have you back :)

It's fun being able to sit and mingle with you folks again. Thank you, and you have a good day as well.

I barely knew ya, but loved ya none the less lol. Welcome back blah blah blah!! :D

...and a happy blah blah blah to you too! LOL!

Thanks.

I don't know you, being a newbie that began when you were on vacation...but you have my attention. I will follow, for a while at least. I curate a lot of posts in a day too. I am not a bot, so everything I curate has my stamp on it. Looking forward to see what yu have for me to curate.

I thank you for your attention. A post like this, coming from me, might not be the best for first impressions. To see what I'm normally up to, it's always best to go back and look at my blog. Much of what I do does benefit the most though when human eyes are actually on it, so I thank you, and hopefully I'll do something you like in the future.

He is aliiveee, he posts again. No way!

Well hello, @yaan! How have you been?

Not sure yet, but I'm still breathing - that's good enough for now.
Anyway, glad that you're back.

The views and comments are definitely on a low level sometimes. It's hard to get around to everyone's posts every day. I can't do it! And so many folks think they have to hoard their voting power and keep it above 85% or something. They can spread more payout by voting a lot, though, rather than just voting a few times.

I'm glad to hear you've got 1000+ views on some of your posts. I've got over 500 on one -- about eating sunflower buds. Go figure.

I know, it's tough to keep up! I totally get that. As for voting power, I like to keep my vote above a certain value. If the value of Steem rises, I vote more. I use my slider and switch things up a lot.

It's impossible to control which ones take off. I have so many new ones which are shinier and better. I hope those get rolling too, but it's not easy and there's only so much time in a day. Are you using Stumble to get those views?

Focusing on the value of your vote is an interesting way to look at the voting. I didn't have the sunflowers on Stumble -- it's just from organic search. I've had people register on Steemit just to leave me a comment on a post, and then off they go somewhere. I may not make entertainment or art, but I do think my content is unique. I know I'm the only person -- on the whole Internet -- that has shown how to cook an Insidious Gomphidius mushroom, lol. And I don't think there are many folks showing some of the other mushrooms I cook with, like the late fall wax caps, the elfin saddles, and cat's tongues. It's art of a different sort, lol. I need to get back to Stumble and keep up with it! It is a good tip, for sure, for getting outside views.

I may not make entertainment or art, but I do think my content is unique.

The culinary arts. :)

How about that! Hey, Mom, did you hear that? I'm an artist! ; )

Many people here don't realize they are artists. What are the first three letters in article? Entertainment doesn't always mean laughter either. If you like science articles about space, you're still being entertained. Many people here don't realize they are entertainers either.

That's a great point. I'll look at my own posts differently, now. Thanks!

That never even occurred to me, how some might think you showed up now because of the price. Probably because we were blogging right along together when it was worth pennies, so I know that wouldn't be your motivation.

I know what you mean about the arts, I relate to that entire section, if I were a whale damn straight it would be the creators of entertainment in all of it's cool and varying forms on here who would benefit.

The final month of not being here was hell and I could not go a day without thinking about this place, my blog, and you folks. Me coming back was inevitable. Besides. My actions speak louder than my words. I didn't come back to milk the rewards pool, take the money, and run. Though I'm entitled to do as I please with my money, I'm content with my decisions at this point in time. I just know how people can be sometimes, so that's why I pointed it all out.

Maybe there'll be something good to read and nice graphics with lots of colors now?

Not maybe. It's happening now! Well.. as long as brain cooperates.

People are still here. I've actually noticed in the last month a lot of new users who are really great commenters and article writers. I've seen more people fighting against the spammers and those posting S@!T posts and promoting the little guys who are contributing to the community. For a while before that I was getting discouraged but this last month things have been great. In no time your old friends and new ones will be back to see what fun you are up to.

Those spammers... They haven't been bothering me since I got back. Hopefully I won't have to waste too much energy flagging them in the future.

Yeah. I'll have lots of time this winter to be able to sit around and shoot the shit so I hope they come. Hibernation can get lonely.

Already done resteemed @nonameslefttouse
