Forgotten Birthday

well here I am , it's my birthday today and I won't say people forgot my birthday some do it on purpose i guess or they actually need a reminder like facebook of which i deactivated for such reasons , fake wishes lol.
But that's not the point of this writing I'm over birthdays really even though I still wish birthdays to that few I don't care if no one says it back, besides my mom who never forgets .
I've come to realise that we can be faced with disappointments in life, a simple I love you can be not returned by a person you have been seeing or dating. Could this be what causes so many depressions and anxiety in our society, the need to be remembered , need... to be loved and appreciated. seeing that in our modern life style everyone is focused on themselves how they look where are they going on holiday so that the instagram looks good and people can see that they're 'living the life' id put it.
This is just a piece I wrote for that person who hasn't got a happy birthday or congratulations on your baby from a close family member maybe , truth is we can never expect things from people really. Expectations are like feeding yourself with false ideas and hopes , happiness comes from the self, although the surroundings can ruin it pretty much don't let it.
