DEFINE YOURSELF THROUGH YOUR COMPANY

in life •  6 years ago

Seems simple???
No, it's literally not that simple. Who are you in reality?
Sometimes the most simple question can be the most difficult question?
Once I was attending a seminar about self-development, and the lecturer ask this question to the audience: Define yourself?
There was not even a single satisfactory answer about that because defining yourself is not about telling your name, passion or what you're doing in life. Defining yourself is about knowing yourself.

Think about it: There is one person in the world about whom you know least and that is you.
We know our friends and family because we spend most of the time with them but we don't bother to spend time with ourselves.
This blog is specifically focused on defining yourself through your company and through the people you're with.

You're the average of 5 people you spend the most time with.

The company, especially friends, have a great impact on your personality. Whoever you're, you'll always be defined by your company. You develop your habits through the people around you.
If you spend time in the company of winners then you'll eventually develop a thought of winner but if you're spending time with negative people then no matter how much perfect you're, you'll start having negative thoughts one day.

I'm ending my blog with a beautiful line:

There is a cure for poison transferred to you through food but there is no cure for poison in thoughts transferred to you through ear.
