West Aceh Regency Government, Aceh Province held a festival of West Aceh Cultural Week (PKAB) in order to enliven its scheduled day.
"The activity is expected to be not just recreation, but more than that can give the value of science, especially in the field of custom and culture in our efforts together to preserve the local culture itself.
At the opening ceremony at the Teuku Umar Meulaboh field, hundreds of people were mesmerized and moved by watching massive dance performances in Aceh tsunami, tarek pukat dance, new creations dance and local art performances.
August is the most historic month for the region as the anniversary of one of the oldest districts in Aceh province, coupled with a very historic day for the nation of Indonesia that commemorates the independence day of the Republic of Indonesia 17 August.
H. Alaidinsyah as the regent when opening the event to convey, he was quite proud to lead the area because it is known to be very thick with traditional and local culture is relegius, it is evidenced by various achievements achieved in every arts and cultural arts festival.
