When it all fails......

Have you ever developed cold feet in the middle of a particular mission? Have you suddenly lost interest in a particular project because there seems to be a major set back? Have you ever lost faith in yourself when a plan so sure crashes before your very eyes?

These questions are as real as life itself and one way or the other, we have had our bitter taste of the pill life gives us. Many a time, an idea pops up, so brilliant and credible. The goal looks achievable and seems like what you can do. In furtherance of such thoughts, bringing it to life, you put on your thinking cap, map out some strategic plans and hit the action button.

At first, all may seem working according to plan. Your supposed dotted I's and crossed T's may be playing out according to the scripted plot then suddenly, probably without warning, no signal, no premonition- whooop! There is a crash.....a terrible crash.

Wait a minute, i guess we missed one painful add. It is possible that you may have shared this lofty dreams with family members, close friends and relatives. They may have rebuffed you, telling you that your deeams are too high, your plans are fallacious. They may have insinuated that you are building castles in the air. You, knowing fully well how attainable such dreams are may have overlooked the negativity and doggedly preceeded with your plans which eventually failed before your own eyes - sad!

What do you do when the predictions of such people come true? Will you give up in the face of obstacles? Would you allow them tell you, with a spark in their eyes, " I told you so"? That would be shameful and may force you to retreat, recoiled in your shell, feeling like a failure.

Hey friend, you arent the first! Your drive and passion for your dream is more than enough to take you there. Nothing good comes easy. You need to persevere and patiently weave your way through it all.

Hundreds of years ago, a young man without fear, screamed out to the world that he has a dream that a black man will become President. Your guess is as good as mine who that fellow is. I am more than sure that before proclaiming loudly to all and sundry, he must have said same words to his family and friends and they must have hushed him up. The dream sounded unrealistic and unattainable.

Hundreds of years down the line, sadly after his death. A confirmation of his dream was seen. Barack Hussein Obama, an American politician emerged president and served as the 44th President of the United States from 2009 to 2017 being the first African American to assume the presidency.p Was Martin Luther proved right or wrong ? It only took time but that dream however lofty, was achieved.

Mark Zuckerberg 's success story will not be complete without taking into cognizance, Joe Green, the former college roommate who, unlike his famous friend, decided to stay enrolled in Harvard instead of dropping out to make Facebook. That decision is called his $400million mistake. He probably may have imagined Mark's decision as unwise but it paid off, causing a great turn around in the life of Mark and in the sands of time.

What am i driving at? When you have a plan, a dream, a goal , you need no other person to make it happen. Make God your best friend, talk to Him when things seem to overwhelm you. Let Him in on every step and stride. Remember, three is a crowd! You need God's support system only, every other aid may crash or disappoint you.

Have a strong resolve to pull through. Let your zeal spring from the negative vibes of disbelief or cold shoulder people give you. Build your strength from their negativity. Keep moving, slowly but surely outliving your dreams, ebbing off all forms of challenges.
Best of luck.
