Boomerang.

As we go through life we would see, there is so much that we don’t understand. As we go through life, we would see, we never stop learning, as many things will keep pointing us to learn new things, if we are sensitive enough to observe.

We can learn in any area of life, even from things, and we can learn from any kind of person, be it young or old, sane or insane and i have learnt a lot from children too.
In life, we are sometimes too quick to judge, dish out judgement and things become more clearer when we find ourselves in similar situation and we find it as a hard pill to swallow and suddenly, 'we understand'. Rather than think too fast, or judge too quickly, just be patient because the answer will always come to you, if not now, but much later, which I would say is safer and better than judging.

Let me share this with you.
As I was going home one day, I saw a cab, close to ours in a traffic, and I saw just two people seated at the front seat when there were seats left at the back. As you know, here, two people share a seat that one person is supposed to seat (the seat close to the driver) (Naija for show), so I wondered, why the other person couldn’t just step down and seat at the back, rather than the inconvenience. I shook my head inward and thought, ‘see this people, why is he not smart enough to step down and occupy the free space at the back’. The the traffic moved and we lost each other, then I alighted.

Now, fast forwarding to three weeks after, I found myself in the same situation, when all the rear back seats were empty and lo and behold, I remembered, just as we were about getting to that same traffic place where I judged those people, and I grew weak while i gave a smirk.
I thought, ‘why didn’t I move to the back seat now too?’. Now I understand! Magically understand, maybe the other guy close to the door had the same thought I had too, ‘why do I need to step down now inside this traffic to move backwards when the place I’m going to is just up ahead’ (actually 45 secs max or a minute). It is so easy to always judge a situation we have never been in, more reason we should never mock or judge anyone in a particular situation, because until you find yourself in a similar one, you wouldn’t know how to deal with it, how you will react or respond, or even how to understand it. I would have changed too, but for whatever reason, I didn’t even realise on time the last person was the one that alighted. How was I to be counting when I have preoccupied my mind with something else. Why didn't i give this 'excuse' for the guy I thought wasn’t smart that time?.

I would have alighted from the cab and moved to the back seat in the traffic but I thought, ‘the discomfort I’ve felt sharing this seat is longer than the little distance remaining, so let me bear a little while’ and more so, it is less than a minute and maybe that’s what the person i judged thought too but I didn’t put myself in that situation then and I felt I had the right to judge a situation I never knew how it started or a situation i was never in. We always judge a situation we are never in but when the table turns, we always want everyone to understand. Be slow to judge, and quick to think of what could have borne that situation instead.
