Steem Now will show you your current voting power. That is not to be confused with your Steem power. Your Steem Power (SP) has been loaned to you. What you do today is not paid to you for 7 days. This is a change we did shortly ago. The SP earned today wont be credited for a week. Your posts and comments can keep earning for that 7 day window.
Your 25 that went to 26 is your reputation. That goes up from voting and commenting and posting. It gets progressively harder for it to go up. You will really see that after about 50 or so.

I took a look at it just now. My battery died so I'm on my laptop now. It was quite interesting so I took a screen shot for future reference and maybe a blog post later when I understand it a bit more.
I can see that I've picked up a bit since I started. It says my voting power is at 67 percent. So all these upvotes I have done do have a value? Interesting.
This 7-day thing. Does that mean that after 7 days we no longer earn from these posts? I have read that somewhere as well.

Yes the post will be seeable, but earnings end at 7 days. It used to be after 24 hours. You must realize that the value of the post can go up and down based on the value of Steem. In addition, the value goes up and down based on upvotes as well as down votes or flags as we call them. I don't think people would want to have to wait longer than a week to be paid :)

Makes sense I guess. 7 days is a rapid turnover. Plus you may still get paid views from elsewhere if posting videos etc.
