Sorry to hear he's missing,

Had mine disappear earlier in the year and found her by leaving a message at all the local vets and shelters with a description. She was catnapped for the weekend as she had to collar.

Worth checking lostpetfinders.com.au or if you have a local equivalent.

    We have done a lot allready, things like you mentioned. In Nederland we have those kind of things also. Only this morning I had the idea that 'catnapping' might be possible, or somebody 'just keeping him'... Hard to imagine that people would do that. Still I'll keep that in mind though.
