Travel India With Me, My first visit Baba Anandeswar temple Kanpur.

Friends I want to share my visit experience of the most sacred place of Kanpur a metropolitan city of Uttar Pradesh the Industrial Capital of India. Friends few days back I started my expedition of India and I will try to roam all the states of India and the most beautiful natural sites, monuments and sacred pilgrimage of all the religions.

So friends it's my first day of this journey and I reached to Baba Anandeswar temple of Kanpur. This place is very sacred for the Hindus and one of the most famous place of pilgrimage for Hindu community. The temple is almost centuries old and made on 18th century.

The Shiv Darbaar.

Story behind the name of this temple
Story is from Mahabharata period about five thousand years old Karna one of Pandavas brother who fought against him everyday comes here for the worship of the lord Shiva lingam after the bath of river Ganges and gives charity to every people who comes there everyday. It is believed that Lord Shiva is there in the form of lingam.
The story behind the name of Anandeswar is that in early 18th century some villagers came everyday with their cows and cattles, and everyday one cow named Anandi came there and pour her milk automatically on that place and it's soaked the owner of cow ones noticed that strange behaviour of cow. He then gathered all the villagers and try to excavate that place and they found one Shiva lingam available there in few feets from the top, they tried to pull that lingam and want to move this to some other place but they never succeded they even can't excavate the whole Idol or capable to move the lingam a inch so they all decided to make a temple there and after that cow this temple name carried and called as Baba Anandeswar Temple. Here almost every God's temple is available in the form of little and big temples.

The temple is situated on the bank of The Holy River Ganges and the river drained from the front of the temple. This temple is very sacred and an auspicious place for prayer and meditation everyday thousands people came here from all over the India, even from abroad too and the crowd is on peak every week when it's Monday.

From next month of July the Shravan Mas a sacred month for the worship of Lord Shiva begins and this time this temple witness almost one Lac people crows every day but in Monday it can reach upto half million people.
The crowd is so enormous and huge on the festival of Mahashivratri as near about one million people comes here this day to celebrate the day from across the India.

To visit this place you can use train and road transport and this place is steep north to 5 kilometres from Kanpur Railway Station and 6 Kilometers from Kanpur Roadways.

Here you can enjoy the boating on river Ganges and take a sacred bath but personally I didn't advised you to take bath on river Ganges here because this city is the prime for the highest pollution of river Ganges so it's not safe to take bath here, you can enjoy the boating here.

He inspired me to do this but as my bike is not okay to travel whole India I started with road transport and railways.
