Understanding and Healing Soul WoundssteemCreated with Sketch.

Each of us is born with multiple wounds, which repeat throughout life. I understand that we want to deny being impacted by them for a long time, yet they hurt so deeply that we must recognise them. Fortunately, the Age of Aquarius is bringing greater energy to awaken our consciousness.

Although psychological, the injuries are similar to physical ones. If we mask our back pain by taking medications daily, it will worsen and we will need to treat it before a serious sickness incapacitates us.

In what purpose are these wounds? They assist us understand the ego's importance in everyone's life. We become slaves to our egos when they rule us.

The FIVE WOUNDS THAT PREVENT YOU FROM BEING YOURSELF was the title of my first book on this topic. The major reason for hurt is to remind us we don't love ourselves sufficiently. It acts like a dashboard light warning of an issue that, if ignored, will do more damage.

Rejection, abandonment, injustice, betrayal, and humiliation are soul scars. One or more of these five wounds can cause any difficulty, whether physical, relational, monetary, professional, sexual, self-esteem, etc. They show us that we don't love ourselves sufficiently and don't heed to our soul's demands.

We don't love ourselves while our ego rules. However, he believes that all the advice and directives he offers us through our many inner voices are necessary. He always believes he's helpful.

Suppose you wish to resign to work on a long-held project. You get excited thinking about it every time. You often hear little voices saying, "Think about it, it's a big risk." You know you've never specialised in danger! If things doesn't start as planned, what will you do? Don't forget your family and commitments!

You have job experience, a decent position, and a nice pay. Why risk much? Additionally, if you set up on your own, you would forfeit existing perks and a nice pension for retirement. Are you concerned about what others will think if you fail?…

I could list your ego's resistances for pages. He's worried about you. For what? Because he can't understand your needs. Mental energy forms the ego. It is merely memory and repeats what you learnt in previous lives and via education in this life.

All of the above views stem from rejection and injustice. Rejecting ourselves means we don't value ourselves enough to succeed. We think we're worthless compared to others. The wound of injustice makes us desire to do the right thing and not make mistakes. This harm causes us to hesitate and fear making the wrong choice.

If you say, "I want to make sure I'm making the right decision, that I'm not wrong, so I'm waiting for all the circumstances to be perfect," you're not running your life. You follow your ego.

Read about the five wounds to learn how important self-love is to follow your intuition, realise your genuine needs, and do everything to satisfy them. First, acknowledge your ego's genuine intentions to love it. Then you tell him you know he's worried about you, but you're doing what you want for now.

Most importantly, tell him that you can take responsibility for your actions. Only by accepting and loving your ego can you love yourself.
