One year ago I worked in a small IT company in my country, but it was the biggest one in the city. It was the kinda cool job; it had some perks that make you feel that you are in the right place.
One of those perks was to have right of drink beer in the office on Fridays after 2:00 pm.
Woah, that was super awesome for me at that time. It used to be one of my favorites moments of the week. Code and beer, excellent! I can make my last lines of code drinking a nice and cold beer! Directly to Instagram.
One day after a meeting, myself and my beer go with my friend and told him this awesome idea:
-"Wouldn't be incredible that they would allow us drinking beer all time, any hour?"
-"I don't know... People would be drunk all the time."
-"If I could drink beer and code all the time, I would be really happy."
Now I'm working in a bigger IT company. They allow us to drink beer anytime. Different brands, always cold, so beautiful stack of beers waiting in the fridge; they even provide the beer!
And I drink and code all the time. And I am really happy. And people aren't drunk all the time.
