If you want to live forever stop eating sugars. A true story !

the higher protein diet is usually fine if you use the protein up expending energy. If you have a low carb intake you should use it all up anyway. Otherwise it will just get broken down and flushed out which your kidneys won't be too pleased about.

You do need to up fluid intake with a higher protein intake, (we all do anyway). Your cells can normally become 5% dehydrated before you even feel thirsty.

The good thing about a higher protein diet is that you tend to eat a massive amount of vegetables to bulk out the missing carb component and you can eat a high fat diet, which your brain just absolutely loves.. (being mostly fat).. every cell in your body needs fat to operate :)

I mean my new spaghetti is savoy cabbage.. it's actually a genius substitute with a meaty sauce.. or even as a rice replacement with a coconut chicken curry

This is great information and do thank you for your time to explain all my options. The cabbage pasta replacement sound wonderful. Now, from your initial post as far as longevity? How can this be. I do know the folks from okanowa (sp?) live the longest. Maybe a strick fish diet.

My pleasure Johhny. I heard of a very old man in a rural province in China. they said it was thought he was 130+ and he still worked in the rice fields. when asked what his secret was he apparently said he only ate a very meagre diet of mainly water chestnuts & bamboo shoots. I'm sure there's some expansion in that story but I have heard calorific restriction has extended the life of mice in tests by almost 1/3rd.. the amazing news is that most genetic predispositions are triggered by environmental factors but can be overridden with the right nutrients. eat a rainbow plate each day and try to eat the same foods not more than once in a week. who knows? I think having a reason to live is important. people are important and sleep, enjoying yourself and the ability to relax easily.

Wow, that is very impressive. I do like my relaxation time :) cheers
