how do deaf people communicate?

Many people who are deaf or hard of hearing use speech reading or manual communication to help them to understand each other. Speech reading its also called lip reading, involves understanding what he/she said by watching the movements of the speakers mouth, face, body and hands.

In manual communications its usaually involves both fingers spelling and sign language, in finger spelling, a different a different hand signal represenrts each letters of the alphabet.

In sign languages, hand signals stands for objecs and ideas, sign language also used throughout the world in the same variety of as spoken language. Deaf people use maniual communication to converse with people who understand finger spelling and sign language..

Facts: Although deafness poses challenges, in the condition need not hinder achievement in a wide variety of occupations, the german composer Ludwig bethoven wrote some of his finest music after he became deaf.

Thanks for this article... I didn't know how this could be interesting for me as I don't know anyone who is deaf and never had contact with someone but I enjoyed reading and learning! :)

I once collaborated on a project in college with a deaf student. They should not be underestimated. In my case this woman was one of the most talented and created artist I have ever worked with.
