Changing the World One Donation at a Time: Helping Those in Need in Venezuela with Steem!

My mother, @cristinamoronta, has always been the first person to lend a helping hand to someone in need. In the Dominican Republic, every year she holds a food drive, in which she makes boxes of essential foods and hands them out to anyone who comes her way. It's quite honorable, and I have always admired her for that. When she first joined steemit, she instantly made a friend and her name is @perlanacarada. She then spoke to my mother and expressed that the elders of her community in which she does social work for, are suffering. Instantly my mother donated everything she had in her SBD wallet, which amounted to $75 USD, to send over to these people in need. With this donation they were able to buy food and groceries.

You can find the heartfelt post thanking my mother here.

I have since then joined my mother in making donations to these people who are very appreciated of our much needed help. I have honestly been feeling overwhelmed with the amounts of thank you's I have received not only from @perlanacarada and the grandparents of the Santo Domingo asylum in Venezuela. Ever since I have made this donation, I have been feeling blessed. They have been seeing so many prayers in my family way, and for that I will always be grateful and thankful for. I also realized how AMAZING the steem block chain is, and how it can unite us together and help those in need.

These were the groceries bought for everyone with my most recent donation of 50 SBD.

I would love for you guys to join me in this cause and help those who need it by upvoting this post, following @perlanacarada and checking out her content. All proceeds will be donated to this amazing community, as you can see even a small donation can go VERY far!

Love ♥️
Jane

Hi @paolajane, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I found out that @cristinamornonta doesn't exist on Steem. Maybe you made a typo ?

This is great Jane, I now respect you in a whole new way.

people helping people---this is what it's all about!

Indeed it is!!

Words I do not have to express my gratitude in this laudable cause helping these elderly people, who rightly or wrongly are in a geriatric without blood relatives, but with many adoptive grandchildren, who already cross the border of the language and shortens the distance , God always places his angels help in these noble causes, but today I want to express my thanks to @paolajane and his mother @cristinamoronta for navigating through the network and get here to Villa de Cura with food to help alleviate hunger to these grandparents, they already ask ¿and Cristina like this? When you visit us, where do you send that help? As Cristina and Paola see, they have a new family, God allow more hands to join to make a humanitarian channel not only for them, but for many more who roam the street looking for a piece of bread. Friend God bless you and thank you with that contribution that gives us that comes loaded with love and affection. Receive from all the grandparents of the "asylum Santo Domingo" own thank you very much thank you, from my part a big hug through the distance @paolajane

Perla, due mi plaser! Gracias usted por todo y ser una buena persona. Espero sigur ayudando cuando es posible.

Very grateful of you, for your noble heart, here the situation is very critical, but there are always people willing to collaborate little but we all bring food. This geriatric like all the others, does not receive governmental help. That is why the people put their hands. Thank God, I arrived at the recommendation of a friend of steemit, and my mother's blog that brings the word of God to anyone who wants to listen, I started writing and there was acceptance of both, "I always say that the God's way is mysterious, "now with what I publish I help myself and also" my grandparents "to bring some food. On August 4 an activity is done that everything that is collected in sales of food items and many other things, goes to solve infrastructure expenses and little by little we live with the will of God, you are a treasure for your mother , excellent daughter since she writes of you with a lot of pride. My granddaughter is called Paola what a coincidence. Thank you friend for all the support you have given me, God bless you always and receive a big fraternal hug from all these grandparents of the Santo Domingo asylum, from my part a God I paid my girl @paolajane
