MOVING PILES OF FIREWOOD AT 1 AM - SOME DAYS IT NEVER ENDS

in life •  7 years ago

Obviously, we've got a lot going on.

As we contemplate how to proceed, we've been weighing our options and evaluating various potential game plans. At the moment, we feel that we just need to get onto our land and then figure out the future. A friend is getting rid of a mobile home, so we've decided to purchase it for now and place it on the side of our driveway, which will leave the house site open.

If we place the mobile home in the spot that I've picked, we can hook it up to the power, water and septic system, but we've got to make a little more room first. In order to accommodate for the 16 foot wide by 80 foot long mobile home, a few piles of firewood will have to be moved and a few more trees removed. A procrastinator by nature, I figured the sooner the better, hence still working on things after midnight last night...well, early this morning anyway. In this vlog, I share more about the plan and goal. Also, I do a poor job recording it, but the audio should be fine.

WHY I'M MOVING WOODPILES AT 1 AM

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Its coming together great to see 💯🐒

We are excited! Thank you.

what for...???

It seems that mobile homes are really popular in the US. We do not have such in Nigeria.

I bet you won't be able to wake up early b4 8am when it's daylight. Cheers man, do a good job, maybe i'll come have a drink when the house is standing. And dude get more help.

Yeah, I slept in today!

Been there. Done that. (Well, maybe not moving firewood at 1 in the morning, just other late night home improvement craziness. :D )

Hlw @papa-pepper sir by going through your blog I found out how much hard working person you are, as for me to wake up at 3 is a hardest task which, honestly I can't do. Just Hat's off to sir. Though I think this morning was quite tough for you but, I still wish you a good morning and have a nice day.

I like working during the night myself. For some reason all my creative juices all come flowing forth when the sun sets haha. Will have to gather more firewood myself for when the big move out to the country side happens cuz I am not sure if my pile will be enuff for next winter even hehe. Hope the mobile home works out great!

I can see the struggle of trying to make the touch not to light up your face. Hahaha. That's a large pile of woods Papa. Well done. Kinda late and i hope you sleep quite well too. It's a nice idea sir, and don't worry, it will all turn out great. I like the way you think. Can't wait to see the wonders you do with it. Enjoy your night Papa.

What do you want to use with the timber @papa-pepper

This will be firewood to heat our house.

Sounds like a perfect plan. I have family that have done that and it worked out really well for them. It will make it easier to get things done if you're right there. Best of luck on it.

Thank you!

Not commented in a while @papa-pepper sorry about that, at least you have a use for the wood, because we are in the concrete jungle fires are not aloud so we have to take all our wood to the local recycling depo, or ask the council to come and shift it.
It's a shame really as there is plenty of it.
nice post, and until next time steemon brother

wow very good thought @papa-pepper. trying to make the best, I really support the job @papa-pepper ..

Doin work!! Gotta do whatcha gotta do!! I think you have a good plan goin on. One day I will be doin the same thing. Property- temp housing- house.

One day 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thank you for the encouragement!

All the hard work, sleepless, nights and sore backs will pay off.

Keep on keepin on brother

The journey of a man is not a day job... Ride on...

Amen to that!

That's a lot of firewood... how long does it take you to move the woods...wish you the best in your mobile home

this is a very good job, but @papa-pepper does not need to work until the night, because you need to rest too.

I Iived in a 12 x 65 for fifteen or twenty years...and a few years in an 8 x 30....they keep the rain off (mostly). That'll give you LOTS of time to build your house. You won't feel rushed to complete it.

Yeah, no rush then! Thanks.

Nice job @papa-pepper really it looks fun but exhausting but as for me i would do the same thing keep it up 👍🏼

I miss you @papa-pepper 😂

I found myself shoveling snow around midnight last night, sometimes it is nice to get things done when it is quiet and the kids are asleep.

It is nice!

Glad to hear you are moving onto the Steemacres! Cause it’s the place to be! When we purchased our property in the Philippines we did not get a deed for over a year. Officially you could not build a permanent dwelling. But you could build a temporary one. Their definition is not concrete and on stilts. So we built a 10 ft by 12 ft house. I will post a pic with these comments. A few days ago you posted a video, kind of baring your heart about what you should do next and another about a temporary dwelling. When I saw these, I commented, but I also began to pray earnestly for you and your family. I love to talk to Daddy anyway!
Blessings!

Seems like it will be more efficient if you can live right there and consolidate your chores. Even if you did have to move the firewood... at least next time you move the wood in the middle of the night you'll be able to go right to bed.

That mobile home was a good buy, can be rented out later.

Good work is done daily in accordance with the routine

It is admirable the great work that you are doing in your field, and with the great commitment that you face things. congratulations for your determination dear friend / @ papa-pepper.
I wish you a good night

Where do you live? What’s the backstory? I’m new here but i have a lot of experience with development. Btw: you are going to want to fence yourself in and keep the wood at a distance because animals love that set up. Good idea to spray for insects to keep them at bay. Look forward to learning about your venture.

Work on a homestead never ends. It's 24x7x365 lifestyle. But it's the only one I want. Sounds like you have a good plan. Keep going.
