$10 USD A 1/2 BUSHEL?

Deal, I'll take 'em!

Buying in bulk is the way to go when you're trying to save money, and deals like this are hard to pass up. While in town yesterday, I noticed that one store was selling half-bushel bags of pink lady apples for $9.95. $20 a bushel is about as good as it gets around here, so I scooped a couple of bags up.

We are planning on making some apple sauce to put up and some apple cider vinegar too. From the looks of the bags, the cost per apple is about ten cents each. Big thanks to Pinkie-Pepper for showing off the size of the bags. Check this out!

Are there not many apple orchards in your area?

Lots of Cedar Rust around here... Arkansas is better for pears, but there are some orchards... still $20 a bushel is the best I've seen.

How about making an apple pie to reward all your little helpers :-)

Great idea. I'll see what Mama thinks.

Your daughter is really pretty.
I haven't eaten apples in forever

I blame her mother for her good looks. LOL

Hi friend. I liked your post. True, in Latvia apples grow on their own, like a wild tree.

Gotta love wild food. The price is always right!

But! How much is that in STEEM per bushel?

And if your cold room is really cold, apples will keep for a long time.
