Hi Steemers,
Note: the viewpoints in this blog are just to provoke thought and converse between individuals, to provoke your mind to think about what the world is going to become within the next 10-15 years of our life. Viewpoints from the individual do not exactly represent all aspect of the subject matter and should be taken more as a learning point for self use.
Just a big thinker here in California and I wanted to take a look into Automation:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automation
So according to this is the use of various control systems for operating equipment such as machinery, processes in factories, boilers and heat treating ovens, switching on telephone networks, steering and stabilization of ships, aircraft and other applications and vehicles with minimal or reduced human intervention. Some processes have been completely automated.
But we as a society are getting into an age in which things beyond our wildest dreams are being automated.
Just a little bit from McDonalds using kiosks and such:
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/20/mcdonalds-hits-all-time-high-as-wall-street-cheers-replacement-of-cashiers-with-kiosks.html
Heres a youtube video with an authors view point on the subject:
Heres another video with more hits rather interesting as well:
How I personally feel about the subject:
We as a society have been collecting information for years. I feel the next set of jobs will be towards dealing with this data, maintaining programs, maintenance on these programs and/or services.
Generally we will create more free time, do we become more creative, work on ourselves some more?
Let machines do the thinking for us? become sheepole ( sheep people ) just going about our days as the machines do everything for us?
Food for thought: Amazon lets you buy anything when you want it, and it comes to your door. Uber/Lyft (can be automated by self driving cars) comes to pick you up and drop you off anywhere you want to go. Apps let you do this anytime you want. Doordash and other food delivery services lets you order and food comes to you directly. What will our lives look like as they pan out?
