Parking in the Shade: Jibaro party....Tradition, Family & Friends

in life •  6 years ago

Fun, friends, music and lots of great food at the "Jibaro" party. Jibaro means people of the forest in the Taino language. It refers to the mountain people who farmed the land in the traditional way. The party pays tribute to the backbone of the Puerto Rican culture. Many brought a dish to share, food included: Pernil, Bacalao, Arroz con gandules, seafood salad, shrimp salad, potato salad, fried chicken, three types of Flan and much more. Big thank you to our hosts Blanca and Jose everyone had an awesome time!!
