Everything begins at first as a seed, a bud that we nurture in order to get the flower that blossoms. Now, if you want your flower to blossom elegantly, you need to first make a plan to pursue this goal and then have to be very determined to fulfill the same. Procrastination, anxiety, stress, frustration, irritation etc. are all what act as a hindrance in the journey of fulfilling our dreams. There’s no denying in the fact that it is natural to feel such emotions at times. You may also feel like stopping everything and withdrawing into a shell, concealing from the entire world and never getting back into the situation you were in before
But, that is exactly where you need to command your sub-conscious mind to act positively and not to waive away the idea of getting your dreams fulfilled. You cannot walk on the moon until you complete the whole long process of preparing to go into space, travelling through a spaceship and hence landing on the moon. In the same way, you can’t fulfil your desires if you do not dedicate yourself fully to them.
You know you are sick and tired of being sick. Don’t think about it much and strictly stop yourself from being a volunteer victim, or telling the same old story. The “No matter what” attitude ought to be followed, if you have a sheer dedication to achieve your desired goal. If Bachendri Pal had given up her spirit of achieving her desired goal while embarking on her cumbersome journey, she would never have become the first Indian to climb the Mount Everest.
Also don’t forget, it is important to be committed with your life first. Commitment is the glue that galvanizes your motivation, allowing you to press ahead with integrity and fervor. Motivation is the spark that gets you started, yet it is your commitment that builds the foundation of your goals.
Margaret Atwood’s advice is supreme in this regard,
“Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can’t go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.”
You can use each worry, failure, and misjudgement to move yourself forward valiantly instead of paralyzing you. You will never know the full power of your natural ability until it has been worked through by adversity, loss, and difficulty. We have more than enough examples of what they call, “Rome was not built in a day”. World famous Cricket Player Sachin Tendulkar did not become popular in a single day. It took him lot of failures and challenges to become what he is. When he faced failures, he did not give up; he kept trying till he met success in life. So, it is extremely significant to remember that it is good to relax for some times with the motive of nourishing and rejuvenating your strength and then standing up firmly to get working for your dreams to turn into reality.
