Punishment Park - Old but actual society question movie

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hi Steemians ! Hope you are passing a great sunday. Today I would like to share with you an interesting movie, old but always actual on the philosophy of the system about revolution acts : Punishment Park.

Effectivly, system is in place, and won't let anyone make it change, above all for better. All is made to prevent this event : law, policy, army, secret information services... Prison. This Peter Watkins' movie is a fiction inspired by the McCarren Act, exceptionnal law voted in the 70s in USA in the context of Vietnam war. It authorized to place in detention any people "liable to be a menace to the inside security" (said in an other way : in opposition with the state way). So the movie is about a the possible degeneration of this act : In the movie, the state put in place The Punishment Park, place where are conducted people against system and Vietnam war, to punish them, in the same time to train the police forces.

An intersesting movie to see in our time, in which liberties are diminued, day after day, as to "prevent terrism menace" (religous, but also ecologic, and economic as you know) as to prevent rebellion against the system. Let's have a look to the trailer (Click play to get the normal frame) :

Thanks to all for passing by. Hope you were interested on this film and that you will have a look to the complete version. If yes, feel free to Resteem to let your followers discover it, and come back to share your impressions. See you soon for an other share.
