Underneath a simple illustration about Sely's stress system.
Selye (1950) found in his research to stress responses that stress leads to a three stage bodily response. One: alarm stage, two: the resistance stage and the third: exhaustion.
• Stage 1: Alarm
• Stage 2: Resistance
• Stage 3: exhaustion
So, now we know a bit about the three stages of Selye’s stress theory and can we understand how stress can lead to psychological and physical complains/problems.
PART 1: Stress, the source of all problems?
- In PART 3 we dive a bit further into the Selyes stress theory.
