Do we really ever care what life is?

A casual birth, growth and death do not define a precious gift called life. Every creature on earth is endowed with life. Other creatures follow an inevitable pattern of birth, growth and death. The lives of plants, insects and animals are confined to set patterns of movement. But life of a human being is quite different. It is a great gift from the creator. The creator has given us life that
differentiates us from any inorganic matter. We are also blessed to be endowed with capacity for movement, emotion, reason and conscience. Another name for human life is unlimited potential. We can grow to be anything. Every life has a clearly defined message if it can be properly explored and lived up.

Science defines it as a continuous process of reproduction and metabolism. Religions believe that we take birth on this earth only to love and serve the creator and other fellow beings. Some religions also believe in a life after death and a process of regeneration. That is why, every religion emphasizes some activities which help purify our soul and prepare us for a meaningful life.

We often spend and waste hours to make our lives happy and comfortable. In this process we sometimes fail to identify the real values which could make our lives more meaningful and precious. Thus we lose precious moments of life where love plays a dominant role. A strong bond of love between and among people can help us see into the real meaning of life where every moment can be a symphony of music. The stars, the sky and the earth mingle at a place when one recognizes the extremely valuable existence called life. A strong belief in a good cause significantly changes the monotonous and boring moments of every life only to help it flourish with full prospects and potentials.

As we can’t give life to anything, we mustn’t also take away life of others. We must hate wars, conflicts and unnecessary hostility that cause deaths of millions of lives on earth. A sudden moment of recklessness and negligence has taken away valuable lives from earth. We must follow the lessons of the great people to live up our life to its full extent.
