I've never been to Maine but can't wait to visit, congrats on that because I hear its quite beautiful there. I'm like 30 minutes from the City. I'm familiar with Butler, I did some work up there last year - Western PA is all very beautiful.
Spent a whole summer in Butler as a kid. My dad ran the Boy Scout Camp that year on the banks of Slippery Rock Creek (I think that's what it was called.) Beautiful area.
Yea, Maine is beautiful, but few tourists ever get up into the mountains and lakes. They seem to fixate on the ocean and Bar Harbor area.... To each his own though...

I grew up in PA...Butler and Vandergrift among many more eastern places. Never got to live on a lake though...NICE!
P.S. We'll finally be living quite near to one here in Maine though soon, when we retire in a few years...Yippee!
