This is not LUCK, this is a DECISION! - We create our Reality

I love travelling and I've always found the way to do it, no matter if I had money or not.

I was 18 years old when I first went to the U.S. for a summer job, to be able to travel within the country. I worked two months, than I travelled for one month from the money I earned there. Then I returned the next year again, and I've seen everything within the U.S. what I really wanted to see.

Then I continued travelling, I spent one semester in Germany with a scolarship, worked one season in Florida as a waitress, spent 5 weeks in Hawaii, went to couple of countries within Europe, visited Costa Rica as a babysitter, and currently I live in the Caribbean in Mexico.

After all this, some people say: YOU ARE SO LUCKY! When I hear that sentence, I just smile and think: Really? Is that luck? Did all of this fall into my lap from Heaven? Or did I create all of this for myself?

Only we have impact on our lives! We have the ability to decide what we want to do in our life, and we can always create the curcumstances according to it. It's our decision how we behave and react to everything. Only we create our reality!

Is this glass half empty or half full? Some people would say it's half empty, others would say it's half full. Both answers are right. Whatever you say, that's your reality.

Thank you so much for your kind words my Dear :) I'm glad you like my post!

Good on you@plantbasedmiri, I am a firm believer in creating ones own fate. I am not one for things simply falling into your lap. You seem to have enjoyed your life so far and why wouldn't you!

I used to be a glass half empty person. Strange as it sounds Veganism has given me the opposite view. Perhaps its not being surrounded by fear, suffering and death? But I am by far a much happier person in myself and to be around.

Only the other day myself and my OH were talking about how we could facilitate traveling more. Having 3 kids, 2 dogs, rental property etc there just seems like a difficult path ahead, not one that we fear mind you, but we are aware of everything we need to do or resolve before we can make our move.

Thanks for the post, very inspirational and to anyone reading, asking themselves, should I do that? Hell yes! Get out, see the world, explore it and yourself!

I'm so glad to hear that veganism helped you also seeing things from the positive view.

I know, that travelling is way more difficult with kids, but travelling might not be your priority now. I always recommend everyone to do whatever makes them happy. I bet you are pretty happy with your 3 kids and 2 dogs. This is everything that matters :)

Traveling revolves around having the necessary funds, would love to know how you do your traveling without you having money.

This is what I wrote in my post. I usually go work to a place, so I can get to know the country and make money, as well. Because I don't like 1 week vacations, coz you don't have the chance to really see the country within such a short period of time. So I usually go to a country, I work there, and then I can travel, as well :)

wow amazing

What job did you have in Hawaii? Teach us your traveling/working ways.

Hawaii was the only exception. I usually go working to different countries, so I can have the money to travel within the country, but when I went to Hawaii, it was after a huge loss in my life. I got married in May 2016 after being in a relationship for 4,5 years, and we already broke up in July 2016 after I found out that my husband had an affair with one of his colleagues. So I decided to get away from home and enjoy life instead of staying at home crying in my room :) Those were zhe best 5 weeks of my life!!!

Wow, that is story I hope you will share more with us :)

This is so true! I am glad I realized that as well when I decided "by accident" to do my exchange semester in Scotland. That was the best decision I made! It changed my whole lifestyle. Now I can truly say that I know that YOU need to decide to do something. Anotherwise nothing will ever happen!

That's so true!! I feel the same way. I would be a totally different person without these experiences :) I'm so glad you made that decision and went to Scotland. I loved my semester in Germany, too, which was also a quick decision. One of my friends told me that we can apply for this scholarship but the deadline is the next day. So I didn't even concider if I should try it or not, I downloaded every paper I needed, made the language tests, filled out the forms and applied the same day :)

@exhowhale team swimming by with your upvotes

You are so right, I agree you create your own destiny. so many people are stuck in comfort zones and most remain their for an entire life. Sad really when the world has so much beauty and so many interesting people to meet. I too like you love travelling and seeing new places. I tend to go to warm climates now and I think I'm over the cold. lol. My favourite saying is "if it is to be it's up to me." I hope you will continue on this incredible journey and I hope we can hang out at the next steemit convention. Love the post. :)

Hi Dean, thank you so much for your kind comment! We are totally on the same page and see things through the same glasses, as we have already realized when we first met each other :) I really like your saying, I'll definitely keep it in my mind.
Hope to see you soon ;)
