There are definitely points here that are correct as @lifenbeauty mentioned that it secures our physiological and safety basic needs - one certainly should not pursue wealth to attain happiness. Happiness is intrinstic and I have found only you yourself can make yourself happy in its truest form. However wealth and building wealth should not be discounted if you are only here once on earth then why not try to pursue it but as a game - It does give you different types of freedom and access to things in different aspects of ones life. Why not build a life abundant in happiness, love, joy and wealth.
