Google knows more about you than you remember yourself - part 2 of 2

In part 1 I showed you amongst other things where you can find some information that is stored by Google and the settings when clicking on Activity controls.

If you now think: ok - let's simply deactivate everything ... I think we can call it naive to think it will stop Google from collecting the data. They simply don't show you anymore.

Another thing is: you might deactivate it now but installing an app on your phone can reactivate it again because you gave that app the permission.

An example from my own experience:
If you take a look here you might see sound fragments recorded by Google with your Android phone at random.
This could be you farting while on the toilet but also an important negotiation still under NDA with a business partner.

Looks like I said "Jungle Bus" yesterday at 4:02 PM - actually, I can't remember and don't know if there are any busses in the jungle.

Just take a look at your own sound activities and listen back what you said.
I turned this off quite a while ago but lately, I installed an app with which I can control my TV also by voice - of course, the app needed access to my microphone which I granted and here we go ... Google records again.

If you are interested what Google has stored about you there is a way to find out altogether.

You can export a copy of everything here.
The download might be some gigabyte.
And when I say everything I mean everything!

• Google Plus
• All blogs / websites you created
• Bookmarks
• Calendar
• everything you ever did with Chrome
• Classroom
• your contacts
• your data on Google drive
• Fit data (how many steps did you take when and where)
• Google Play Data (rewards, gift cards, offers, etc.)
• all photos you shot with you mobile phone
• your Google books
• your Google music
• your youtube videos
• where did you buy things including the products
• Hangout session
• all locations you've been
• and much, much more ...

One thing you will find out is that also mails you deleted long ago and can't be found in your deleted items anymore will be there. Same thing with bookmarks, searches you did (and perhaps would not do anymore nowerdays) ... as I said: EVERYTHING

Now our other big friend brother: Facebook

I will not go into much details here. Only show you the way to download your data from Facebook also.

Bonus: the data-file will have a list included with all the companies to which Facebook sold your data.

You might want to ask some or all of them what they have about you, where it is stored and make them delete the data.

Actually it's quite simple to request the data from Facebook.
You click on that small triangle at the right top.

Then you choose proporties in the drop-down-menue.
There it is - a link to load a copy of you Facebook data. You'll receive a message when it can be downloaded.
