WHAT CAUSES ANGER AND WHAT ANGER CAUSES

in life •  6 years ago  (edited)

Hi Everyone.

This note is based on a text from Bhagawad Gita and my observations. The Text says

KRODHAT BHAWATI SAMMOHA

I am mentioning just one line of the text. Actually the text mentions a series of events which take place on a subtle level before we commit the actual action. I write about it in a previous post. Association gives gives thought and contemplation in mind, holding long onto which causes attachment. Attachment causes lust towards the object and Unfulfilled lust causes anger.

Now, Anger causes dillution (Illusion basically)

We all have experienced that when we are angry, we do things which we would otherwise not do. As we are almost drunk. We lose our mind. Our senses are not in our control. Our tongue speaks what is not required, our hands do something which was not be done.

We end up doing what we don't want to do. And the results, we have all faced it. Untill and unless the anger was for the sake of compassion like a mother's anger on a child's mischief. She is not illusioned at that time. She is clear on her intentions and actions. Otherwise, any other form of anger is destructive.

Thank you

Hope that was useful

Knowledge of anger may help to overpower it.

Isn't it strange how you don't see this untill it is pointed out to you. In anger you can hurt the ones you most love by saying something totally out of character and hurtful. I wonder why we do this. Its as if we turn into someone else. So the old answer is still the best. Count to ten before you do something you will regret. Just a short time to think can save you from yourself.

Thank you @andyjem

Counting and delaying the action due to anger works best for many people. The thing is that when anger overtakes, our actions are purely subconscious.

I suggest you to go through this: (related)

One of my first post. It's a bit time taking. I write about my observations on subconscious mind and actions.

Thanks a lot for your comment

Thank you I have just been over and read your previous post. It definitely throws up some interesting points about our development. The 95% subconscious is quite a shock. So we need to think harder about how we go about our daily lives. Thanks for the link.

We would be talking about the eternal internal journey we must make every day of our lives. That trip that allows us to know ourselves.

We never finish knowing ourselves.

Our mind constantly hides us passages that we do not know. That is why we must travel internally. And so, being calm, rediscover us and avoid repentance of acts that we would never have committed.

All best, Piotr.

Thanks for comment! Really able to relate. And sorry for not being able to answer to your memos, I was off steemit for few days due to my grandmother's end rites and rituals, they extend two weeks in India. But I found out time to do what was possible at that time!
