2 Options For Treating BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS... One Guaranteed To Work And The Other?

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Bacterial vaginosis is an infection and the type it is, is clearly in the name (bacterial). In short BV is not a life-threatening condition and treatable. It’s commonly identified through a changed vaginal discharge---and happens when the inside of the vagina is filled with excess bacteria. In the past doctors referred to this as Gardnerella vaginitis which at that time was the anticipated bacterium for causing it.

Every female body comes with bacterium typically found in the vaginal region. This bacterium when massed is trouble and that’s why so many women are treated for the condition. It’s not a sexually transmitted infection and neither known to easily spread to a sexual partner, nevertheless, don’t have sex until the infection has gone.

BV is mostly notable for a watery grey-white vaginal discharge with a nasty odour. Some describe it a fishy smell. Just because discharge alters does not mean it’s BV because, other familiar conditions such as gonorrhoea, chlamydia, thrush and herpes have near the exact same symptoms bacterial vaginosis produces.

Rash and itch is not a significant part of the BV package so more reason to see a doctor as it’s possible another infection has occurred.

BV is not classed severe but rather a mild infection of the vagina. Nonetheless and even though starting off mild, without treatment it could go the other way complicating matters making things worse.

Unlike yeast infections noted for itch, BV isn’t, and neither like a yeast infection once again, nor is it known to cause burning! It’s also not an infection recognised to cause vaginal bleeding BUTthen everyone’s different and you hear about unique cases all the time.

Surprisingly no evident cause of bacterial vaginosis has been delivered yet, however, some study has stated, that when a mixture of various bacteria combines with each other--- bacterial vaginosis happens, but which bacteria is yet to be determined.

Treating BV Is Easy But There’s A Hard Part, Which Is, Knowing The Right Treatment To Practice Or Endorse.

TWO OPTIONS:

1. You could speak to a pharmacist and ask about the best treatment for BV, but there’s no guarantee it’ll work… simply because, the pharmacist is going off the information you’re providing
2. Or you could speak to a doctor who’ll examine you and go off his or her own information and clear the BV infection with medication guaranteed to work.
