February 21st, Amar Ekushey February The name of the promise to protect the dignity of their mother tongue around the world. Today is the Immortal Ekushey, the Great Shaheed Day, International Mother Language Day.

Ekushey February means the day in which the first history of pouring the blood of the chest of the mother in the world for mother tongue. The glorious mourning day of Bangali language movement So Bangale sang, 'Ekushey February / I can forget about my brother's blood.'

Damal boys poured the fresh blood of the child on the day of 1952 when they took the movement to recognize Bangla as state language. Bengal received exchange of blood for recognition of state language of East Pakistan.

Since then language has been celebrated as language martyr day as the day. Later on February 21 received the recognition of International Mother Language Day
