Damaged Goods

Who in this world named their store “Damaged Goods”?

Dad and Uncle, that is who. A secondhand store named Damaged Goods. That does not even sound right, unless it is a junk yard. The thing is, the store is not a junk yard. Well, there are junk that they are selling, but the things work (mostly, I think) that are for sale on the floor.

The slogan is “Quality you can trust”.

Damaged Goods and quality. Is it satire or irony? I do not know.

Is that not the same as a seafood restaurant with the name “Salmonella Fish” or a brothel with the name “Herpes Corner”?

I believe it's a some sort of marketing strategy. lol

Well, I have been to a restaurant before and the slogan was "The worst restaurant in the world". The food and service was excellent. LOL.
