Uthman bin Atikah said that it was necessary to throw bombs against the Muslims so that Mu'awiyyah said:
"If they do this, then repay the same way."
The two sides then throw bombs at each other. At sea, a Roman soldier prepares to throw a barrels full of fuel against Abu al-Ghadiyah's ship.
But Abu al-Ghadiyah sent arrows and killed the Roman soldiers. So the gas-filled barrels fell and burned their own ships. The fire also devoured the entire ship and the entire crew of 300 people. After the incident, people said that the arrow of Abu al-Ghadiyah killed 300 people.
