Bureaucracy

in life •  7 years ago

You can tell a lot about the state of a country by how fast you can get things done in terms of needed papers for...anything. The more you wait, the shitty that country is.
It's interesting that fighting the many headed dragon of bureaucracy is exhausting and annoying but when you finally get what you need feels like a win. But you did not win anything worth winning, you wasted time and energy and money when it should have been as easy as clicking a button. A false sense of pride given by a rotten system is not the kind of reward you should want..but still enjoy.

It's easy to think that maybe all this is by design. During the communism times I remember that public transportation was purposely designed to be slow and unreliable so people would always be stressed that they will be late to work and get there already anxious and fearful, making them easier to control, I guess? I am not sure what the end game was but apparently it was all about the mindfuck and living in a state of fear/anxiety/uncertainty. How horrible!

Lastly, there's this game that deals with the bureaucracy of a fictional ( but very similar to other non fictional) countries that many people love:

I find this fascinating and I played a bit myself. Weirdly, it is fun!
Now gonna go to stand in some lines...not as fun :)

Chit ca nu ne place birocratia dar cred lucrurile se vor inrautati incet si sigur pentru viitorul apropriat.

Great to read your thoughts and the right to travel is one of the most important. The government controls all roads and you are right there is lots of stress without good public transportation.
