Having a purpose means having an aim, intention which will lead to results; or having reasons for doing something. Purpose can be a motivating drive to accomplishing great things in life. Good purpose engenders good action, putting efforts where it counts and establishing oneself to thrive amidst challenges, trials or even in great comfort, since comfort can be negatively managed.
Good purpose means putting the horse before the cart and not otherwise, carefully aligning events or actions in such a way as to bring good benefits and not negative effects. Good purpose therefore has to deal with noble causes, having the right mindset towards events, projects, work, and intended changes that one has to make, in order to carry out activities or take actions that move you forward on a daily basis.
When you craft a powerful purpose, you can distinguish yourself in your area of calling rising above limitations that hold others down. Purpose can be a distinguishing factor between succeeding and failing in tasking job or areas of difficulty that has stopped others from rising. Purpose is fundamentally fundamental, it gives life its meaning. It gives us reasons not just to live but live longer and well meaningful life. A powerful purpose is a force unbeatable by anything in the universe. Purpose compels you to go the extra mile, to plan effectively, to keep pushing on despite negative odds and to keep on coming back even after facing challenges till you succeed in your calling.
But are there school of thought as to what purpose is or should be? What do people really think purpose is? Two School of thought on Purpose Most people will probable give these answers to what they think purpose is. 1.The first group are people who have the believe that purpose is embedded in them, that they were born with it. That they were embodied in it and therefore are destined to achieve it and have no choice in this regards. 2.The second group has to do with people who believe that fate and destiny does not exist and that one has the Will Power to choose what his life's purpose should be, and that we as individual can do anything with our life. But can purpose really have effect on the decisions we take and the life we live? Let us take a close look at the two school of thought above. The first school of thought believe in fate and destiny as purpose, while the second believe in their free will as the determinant to purpose. While the two school of thought might not be perfect in themselves, a workable compromise can be reached, and this is what purpose entails. While you are with destiny or fate, you also have full control whether to activate it or not and how, when and where to activate your life's purpose. You can take the gradual approach moving easily towards your life's purpose as you feel drawn to it in your life's journey without having a feeling to do a spectacular or specific thing.
Also as humans, we have a choice and God has given us the free will to make choices as to how we think, behave or react to issues. Hence, the moment you make the right choice which aligns with your inner being or you feel drawn to, the power flows to sustain it. It could be in decisions towards your spiritual well being, emotional life, or psychological well being.
Are there benefit to the power of purpose? Is it beneficial to an individual, a family, a corporation, or a nation to have purpose? The story of the Wrights brother is a fascinating example of what purpose can do. From a humble beginning without much of formal education but basic schooling, they went into various enterprises and when the idea of a flying machine was on, they ventured into it. They worked tirelessly at perfecting their heavier than air machine. They read about the works of pioneer of glider, studied and obtained scientific knowledge about flying and aeronautics. Afterwards they began work on their experiment, invested so much in it and worked tirelessly at perfecting their flying machine. Eventually they succeeded in inventing and building the first successful airplane. They made the first successful flight of heavier than air machine near Kitty hawk, N.C. It was the power of purpose that kept them going, despite not having a diploma, they were able to keep learning, practicing and eventually perfecting their design. This story shows the power of purpose and that purpose can be beneficial.
Benefits of the Power of purpose
1. Purpose activates wisdom: Having a good purpose helps you to correctly handle life's issues well. Wisdom is of God and comes from God. Having good purpose helps to align your actions well and eventually helps you to make good decisions which ordinarily you might not make.
2.Purpose drives you to service: A sense of purpose propels you to serve selflessly and to contribute to issues that affect others.
3.Healthier life: Having a good purpose promotes overall health- physical, emotional, spiritual and helps you to live a longer healthier life.
4.Helps you not to get stuck in life: Many people feel stuck in life, not having ideas on what to do to get out of a predicament or may be drifting from one point to another aimlessly, having purpose helps you not get stuck.
5.Purpose Keeps you in check: As you mature from one phase of life to another while growing psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually, purpose keeps you in check while you grow and still yarns for deeper levels of growth in these areas or other areas.
6.Purpose lures: As individual, you feel drawn to your purpose as it resonates with your inner convictions and you thrive naturally in areas that resonates with your purpose.
7.Purpose Unites: A sense of purpose unites people of different background together. It keeps families together, companies going, and countries united. Purpose is powerful in itself. The purpose of life is ultimately to sustain life. So whether you view purpose as being embedded within you or as a choice your free 'will' determines, if you do not take the action of activating purpose, you will not unveil the power of your purpose. So having purpose means, you have the power to do the things that really matter in your life, since the allure of purpose draws you to it naturally in your daily living. So, purpose can keep you from getting distracted in distracting environment, it keeps you up when the odds are against you and you have every reason to be down, hence a life that has fully activated purpose is a meaningful life.
