Arsene Wenger had a good farewell for his last home as coach Arsenal, on the sidelines of the Gunners wide victory against Burnley (5-0).
Almost eight thousand days after his first match at Highbury, Arsene Wenger was obviously moved after his last home encounter as a coach Arsenal Sunday afternoon. A largely won match against Burnley (5-0), on a doubled Aubameyang (14th and 75th), and achievements of Lacazette (45th), Kolasinac (54th) and Iwobi (64th).
Welcomed on the lawn of the Emirates Stadium, by a guard of honor of the players of the two teams, Wenger returned as a hero at the end of the match. Forgotten signs "Wenger out" that bloomed in the stands in recent seasons, and place t-shirts "Thank you Arsene" to celebrate the historic manager, landed almost in the anonymity in the English capital in 1996.
He declared at the microphone, to the applause of the crowd :
"Thank you for keeping me that long and in the end, I'm like you: a supporter of Arsenal, I will always be a fan of Arsenal."
The tricolor technician then sent a message of support to Alex Ferguson, a victim of brain haemorrhage and operated the day before, before discussing the future of the Gunners on the BBC :
"The fans may be lost at first, but they will have a new coach who will continue the work, because the basics are there."
it's time for him to rest,
