WOW. just WOW .i wonder how i did not see your blog before. the wisdom you write is so
magnetically engaging .
Writing comes easy to others, but not to some. It is a task that is usually considered as a hassle and people seem to develop a hatred for it after a few failed essays. But some have learned that it can be an easy way to express your feelings, and the feelings of others. For me, I need writing. I can’t tell you my thoughts until I have seen them physically written down. And it is one of the best feelings when you reach others with your writing. I know other writers feel the same. i would suggest write only when you feel like doing so. otherwise the creativity and the orignality fades out.

@rok-sivante the truth is , you may not know the amount of lives you have touched with your posts. I only started following you a few days ago but your write-ups have inspired me I must confess.

I wouldn't want you to stop or grow weak but at the same time I wouldn't want to be selfish about this either . I would want you to do what you think is perfect for you but remember that youbare touching lives out here including mine...thank you.

I appreciate this feedback. True, I probably never will know. However, expressions of gratitude like this provide a great reminder that it is making some difference and is worth continuing on. πŸ™πŸ’–

Ok. First, it got deep with every word.... We all had our reasons for joining the steemit movement, or developed one when we got on-board. I'm two months old on steemit, yet i've never had to adjust more to a situation in my life.. I found out that posting here is more than just a fun thing, it's a responsibility, and when i got to that point, i had to decide if i would take it up or not.

I found out i owed myself and others more. When i read my write ups to myself, i was amazed at the response my mind gave. So then i realized, if i could reach out to just one person that would see half the truth in this, i'll be satisfied! Although we all plan to succeed here, it was no longer all about the money.

I took the responsibility, for every mind that would be exposed to my content, i tried to carry everyone along, so i would really reach out to atleast one. I was happier.

Well, like i said, adjustments always come. I don't know what the next adjustment will be to, but right now, i'm satisfied with the journey so far. Once i'm happy and fulfilled, i'm fine. If not, i'm sorry, you might be asking for too much....

Sorry i came blogging on your blog, I really connect with this @rok-sivante, i'll read it again before going to bed. No wonder they want you writing all the time. Thank you.

It sounds like you’ve got the right attitude. For real. You are heading places with such an outlook of approaching this platform with such responsibility. β˜ΊοΈπŸ’–

I'm honoured!

I hope you don't get bored motivate people and for yourself. in fact I wake up because your motivation. you will get the title of a teacher for motivation you provide. and you will be considered as a hero when you managed to encourage people to forward, all you would think when you no longer post here, and someone will be looking for you in any way. I feel a lot of changes from you. thank you @rok-sivante.

people will find a place to learn to reference, and you are one of them. I hope you don't get bored to this, because when you spirit, then we followers will also be more spirited, we are always your support.

I @junsusukhairi from Indonesia is one of those people waiting for your paper mr @rok-sivante. I also always ask in these few days why you have not made a post for a few days, honestly I am looking forward much more than that. So I am very glad to know that this absa has posted another great masterpiece again at @steemit. you mr @rok-sivante is the motivation and inflation for me in @steemit very positive. I really agree with you about what Steemit readers want? . how can you measure what Steemit readers want? At @steemit sometimes the best writing or best picture is not what we do for others, but it's ourselves, born of passion and the need to express ourselves and explore the language or what suits our needs at any given time. Interesting paradoxes begin to write with the intent of serving others and switching back to writing for ourselves first and foremost. I am happy and very amenable because for me at @steemit is not a sought after wealth but my later satisfaction with my work that might be of interest or a very useful benefit to others makes it a pride for myself.

Deep reflection Sir. As you rightly pointed nothing is wrong taking a break but then one must be conscious of roles that had been appointed to you as a result of your previous work (write ups). My point is retreat shouldn't become total neglect or abandonment. After reassessment, you might still continue probably in a different niche. We need you here.

ideas from an amazing story @rok-sivante.
You'll need a very long process of time to make it, but I'm always with your work.
hopefully you are always in good health and can visit again Bali.

If this is the last time I would impart something to the world, that would be my life story. There's nothing more beautiful to read than the story of each one of us here in this planet. Some are good, some are bad but in the end, all have values and lessons we need to learn.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Steemit has provided the platform for us , I as a person would be glad to read and learn from your story.

If this was the last chance to impart something of value to the world through these words, what would it be...?

"LOVE"

This reflection really caught me so well. Love is my answer and way out, the greatest impact and value

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

You're absolutely right, everyone is waiting for @rok-sivante

Paradoxical, sure. But life is full of paradox. And it might just be in the midst of paradox - between the opposite ends of the spectrum - in which Truth is found

good job

life is very difficult to understand, sometimes under and sometimes above. that is life, weak thinking no meaning. the most important thing is to be able to understand it and the spirit to live it @rok-sevante.

;-)

thank you for giving me the information I am waiting for from you @rok-sivante

thank you @rok-sivante this is very inspiring to us. we are always active in writing and also hope that you also motivate and motivate us in writing. re-repeating the old one is not a problem as long as to get to the fore not just the road in place ssja friends. thanks for the motivasinys friend.

"And c'mon - sometimes the absolute best writing is not that we do for others, but for ourselves, birthed out of passion and a need for self-expression"

Why "sometimes"? I think it should only ever stem from within. Whenever it is externally stirred there is a sense of expectation looming over us. We don't need to meet anyone's expectations. Expectations are bound to outcome, stealing away our Heart-focus which only unfolds its 100% creative leverage when devoid of external expectation. Every "should" and "have to" drains our zest for life and action.

Now, obviously I don't need to tell you how to approach things, the success speaks for you. My message is simply that we should put our well-being first because only then we can give the "most" to others..

Anyway, you'll find your way. I wish you the best!

πŸ™πŸ’“

There is nothing wrong in retreating from time to time, in order to recharge our energies and recover some of the strength we might lose after a big change, in your case, moving to another continent could me mentally taxing for a while.

Since you said you are back in Canada I suppose you are Canadian?

Yet nowhere in that school of thought, appeared space for retreat.

I think no matter what we do, taking proper rest is basic if we want to maintain our performance in good levels. A few weeks ago I talked about the importance of mental rest and I kindly invite you to give it a read, perhaps you could find a new perspective about this subject.

Cheers pal!

@rok-sivante did you just mention retreat? Oh NO I QUIET UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING SIR BUT I AM HERE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE AMONG THOSE SPECIAL PEOPLE ON STEEMIT DISHING READERS WITH GOOD CONTENT. REMEMBER YOU LAST TWO POST, I TOLD YOU MEHN THIS POST IS FOR THE HIGHER MIND. I DONT KNOW HOW AND WHERE YOU GOT YOUR TOPIC FROM BUT I MUST SAY IT IS TOP NOTCH AND ONE OF A KIND. LASTLY @rok-sivante, remember how effective you have been towards the life of the minnows so am and that is why you have alot of readers viewing your blog. You have been instrumental and the reward you will surely enjoy. You can retreat on taking a break but knows that we need your article as it is just too inspiring.

Hmmmm this is really deep.

may i resteem every post you...
will you give me permission?

You never need to ask for permission to resteem anything. Go ahead... ;-)

Indeed there was and that is the idea that when we write - if we really want to touch people with our writing - we need to write first and foremost for ourselves. Because there is something that needs to come out and be immortalized, even if only for our own benefit.

I'm sure you've felt the shift that takes place when actually putting ideas to paper (or bytes in this case). There is something transformative that occurs when we write our thoughts down. There is also a fulfillment that can occur, simply by releasing our thoughts into the universe, rather than keeping them wholly our own.

As to the question of retreat. If it's necessary and productive then yes by all means retreat. If nothing else you will put yourself into the stillness that will allow you the time to consider whether the retreat is actually necessary or just a way of dodging what IS necessary.

πŸ™

Lately, I've been feeling rather burnt out on Steemit, writing, and social media

Happens to the best of us

I never really envisioned myself becoming a "teacher,"

I think we are all teaching, some are doing better than others, you're doing great imo

Sometimes it's fucking difficult to bring ourselves to a standstill and do nothing.

No doubt, our culture frowns upon those who do nothing: "Why aren't you working, what do you wanna do, what are you thinking, whats for dinner?" Theres always something, finish a tv show? start a new one, make 100k? better make it 200k this year. There's no end.

Sometimes, taking a step back from it all helps us see the bigger picture and see things we've been missing that were right in front of us. I know it's helped me, I crave moments of solitude and find them wherever I can

I have a fair amount to say, @rok-sivante, and will try to be as concise as I can (as I, too, feel the need to retreat from Steemit for a bit and overhear myself, more quietly).

To begin with, I'm not a daily writer, never have been, and believe in writing only out of an inner imperative (when I have something that demands to be said...). I do agree with you that we serve others best, when we serve ourselves. Which is to say, we're really of no good to anyone 'running on empty' or 'straining for feeling'.

One thing I've learned, when my innermost soul revolted against writing, or even speaking, is to trust this state. What is often mistaken for writer's block or dry spells are, paradoxically, quietly fertile--a regenerative state when our souls are being rewritten and readied for fresh utterance.

We do violence to ourself when we misread these inner prompts. Here are some echoes to what I'm saying:

"Even if at this time you are enduring through a time of bleakness...bleakness is never as bleak as it seems on the surface.
At the heart of the stripped down, in the rested cold stillness of winter, there is huge movement secretly at work."
~ John O'Donohue

Just as a fallow period is advised for the health of the soil, so it is with the soul, my friend.

'Dryland farming is made possible mainly by the fallow system of farming, a practice dating from ancient times. Basically, the term fallow refers to land that is plowed and tilled but left unseeded during a growing season.'

The challenge, of course, is to try and wait, purely, without expectations. Lastly, some words from an author rich in mystical insight:

'Let mystery have its place in you; do not be always turning up your whole soil with the plowshare of self-examination, but leave a little fallow corner in your heart ready for any seed the winds may bring, and reserve a nook of shadow for the passing bird; keep a place in your heart for the unexpected guests, an altar for the unknown God.

Then if a bird sings among your branches, do not be too eager to tame it. If you are conscious of something newβ€”thought or feeling, wakening in the depths of your beingβ€”do not be in a hurry to let in light upon it, to look at it; let the springing germ have the protection of being forgotten, hedge it round with quiet, and do not break in upon its darkness."

β€”Henri-FrΓ©dΓ©ric Amiel

What is often mistaken for writer's block or dry spells are, paradoxically, quietly fertile--a regenerative state when our souls are being rewritten and readied for fresh utterance. GOLDEN.

I write everyday and I have for years. However, I find myself on certain days not being as interested in writing as I am on others. Now when it comes to Steemit you're right about one thing..... you have to write what the readers want to read to make profit.

Having said that, sometimes I just want to write what I want to write even though I know people don't want to upvote it as much......

Upvotes can pay bills.... nevertheless I find myself writing fiction stories because I like them. I honestly think that's what most of us should be doing. Write the things that you want to write..... not the things that you know are going to make you profit.

As for the I Ching? I like the idea of a book like that.

I researched it after reading the man in the High Castle because "The Grasshopper Lies Heavy" was supposed to have been written completely using the I Ching.

Pretty interesting.

Hmmm... intriguing. Got me interested what that book must be like, if that is true... πŸ€”

"Sometimes the absolute best writing is not that we do for others, but for ourselves."

Haha, I agree with this. It's always good to take breaks sometimes and re-evaluate or simply recharge. I'm in a similar boat where I want to be posting everyday (still a struggle for even once a day!) but I want to make sure that whatever it is I post, is something that I enjoy, and could be useful to others.

All of that's subjective though. What may seem like paramount knowledge to me could be received entirely different than what I intended, and I think that's okay. In my own thinking, being a service to others is excellent as long as you service yourself first. -And while I may not be on the same level as your grind, I am also posting to make money. BUT! It is only one of the reasons, it's never the only one.

I was thinking about posting right now, but after reading your post Imma take a break today!

You're a great teacher, but rest is good too. <3 :D

I feel you, oh, I feel you.

I started out blogging in the "personal development" niche.

Niche being an ugly word to me now.

I couldn't put it in words myself. The more I wrote to help people, the more I stopped believing in it.

So... ironic huh?

But what I've come to realize is that real people embrace this irony, take a step back and then find better ways to be real, hence help people.

Those who don't? They're just entrepreneurs.

Always here for you brother. Never stop the honesty and realness.

nicely said. πŸ’—

Yup, I COMPLETELY feel the same.

Writing out of a sort of 'need' to 'help' others?
NOPE. Doesn't work anymore

Lately I have ONLY been able to write for myself.
Using Steemit as a sort of diary.
And it feels WONDERFUL

<3

Just keep writing
Just keep writing

My dear friend

:)

I am glad that i know you and that's all because of steemit. This platform is really fabulous where you can learn and earn both at the same time. If you think that you are spending a lot of time here you can post on alternate days. But we'll miss your posts man.

There’s always a backlog of posts from the last couple years to catch up on as well, should the new ones not be coming out fast... :-)
