Well put, break ups always come with a certain amount of stress for both partners in the situation. Many of us then have the tendency to run straight for the bottle, or to the nest person we can find as fast as we can find them only to find ourselves in another relationship that will inevitably fall apart. The best thing to do when faced with the stress and overall heartache of a break up is to stay active. Do the things you love. For me reading does help, it takes me away from where I am for awhile and into a whole new world. I also like to immerse myself into doing things that keep me physically active as well, releasing natural positive endorphins to battle the negative pulls that come from loss. Go hiking, get in the water. There is energy found in nature that can really be found no where else and so often I find people forget this. We also must remember something I was always taught growing up and has helped me when people have walked out of my life or I have had to talk out of theirs, people come into our life for either a reason, a season or a lifetime but we learn something from each individual. Lessons of love, pain, joy, betrayal, travel, new hobbies... Just remember to never let anyone take your light away from you, because we are each unique and beautiful in our own way.
