Automatic Transmission took a Dump in the XB

As soon as @luvbnamome was diagnosed with breast cancer, our Scion XB’s transmission decided to take a dump.

Our first estimate was $3400 for a new transmission.

The XB has survived a major accident two years ago and has provided many trips to the central coast. We have taken dozens of trips to the national parks, and have enjoyed many drives through central California.

The car is still owned by the bank, so we have to repair a car that we don’t own. This is where I get slightly aggravated.

A new transmission is way cheaper than financing another car, and it’s a beautiful day in California, so I life is good.

The man that diagnosed the transmission failure is going to start chemotherapy treatment tomorrow, and at the same oncologist where @luvbnamome is treated.

I’m wishing him the best with his colon cancer treatment and It’s a small world!
